Ecological Awareness: A More Accurate Way of Seeing Things

There is a problem with how we deal with issues. Both personally and societally. When people make mistakes, we merely focus on holding them responsible. When errors occur, we treat them as exceptions. However, this neither prevents future similar mistakes, nor is it a fair judgement of the individual.  Future similar mistakes won’t be prevented […]

Struggling with Self Control and Getting Things Done

In recent years, with the prevalence of social media, self control has become a topic sought after by almost everyone. It used to be people pursuing certain goals or those battling their vices and addictions who would seek out self control tools. However, with our daily lives as comfortable as ever, it’s becoming exceedingly difficult […]

Difficulty is Good

A difficult moment could lead to a positive or a negative struggle. If you keep your goal in mind, and your aim pure and not egotistical, you will realize that a positive struggle leads to you growth and a betterment of your methods of work to reach your goal. Keep it all about the work, not about yourself and you’ll produce quality work without your ego interfering with it.

Starting a New Project: Blogging

I used to hear about blogs quite often. Friends who had them would mention them and I’d think “Interesting, but that’s definitely not something I would do”. However, my thoughts on blogging changed once I saw it was recommended by respectable people I followed. A couple of them were Cal Newport, author of Deep Work & Digital Minimalism as well as Seth Godin, entrepreneur and author of The Dip. Both advocated so energetically and convincingly about the merits of blogging that I ultimately decided to give it a try.

The Power of Simplicity

What do you think of when you hear or see the word “simplicity”? For most people the word has a negative connotation. People we describe as simple are often underwhelming and boring. Objects we classify as simple have limited functionality and unimaginative designs. We also have the same view of methods and approaches we call […]

The Beauty of Tragedy

We all experience hardship and difficulties in our lives. If we set upon a path filled with rivalry and scarcity of reward, we will certainly meet challenges in our process. These obstacles continue to challenge our selves, even after they seem to have gotten the best of us in certain domains. We often look back […]

When We Make Mistakes

After recognizing that the soundest way of understanding the processes of making mistakes, in hopes of reducing their frequency and magnitude, is to look at our own mistakes, we ask “how should this be done?” This investigation, if done with patience, honesty, compassion and logic, might lead to valuable self knowledge. By this, we might […]

When People Make Mistakes

It’s important to attempt understanding the processes that lead to our mistakes. Unless one does not care for making any number of errors at random moments, some which might lead to dire consequences, it becomes relevant to living a good life, to be thoughtful of why we do what we do. To answer the question, […]

Minimalism and The Unfulfilled Life

I want you to realize that the labels don’t matter. What you call yourself or think you are seen as, don’t matter; not nearly as much as what you do and how you actually live your life. Focus on the label and you’ll stay right there, with the label, at the surface. The only thing you lose is a purposeful and meaningful life.

We Hate too much

We hate too much. You might think that I’m talking about our current social and political climate but despite the importance of large-scale relations and societal affairs, I think it is crucial to first make it clear for ourselves, how we choose and want to act individually. Thats why, my focus is actually on interactions […]
